Our Coaches
Director of Baseball Operations
Tyler Wormer
Tyler Womer is the DBO for Arlington United and is currently an assistant coach for Marymount University Baseball, where he focuses on infield and hitting. He has deep relationships with other coaches in the region, and he runs Gold Glove Academy which works with players interested in becoming exceptional fielders. Earlier in his career, Tyler coached at Erskine College, DeSales University, and Wingate University, where he also played his college ball.

Regional Team
Rich Mandleur – Known for his ability to develop competitive ballplayers and teams, Rich is the associate varsity head coach at Bishop O’Connell High School. Prior to that, Rich spent seven years coaching at Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria at the Varsity and JV levels. Rich also spent three years with the Arlington Post 139 American Legion team as assistant coach. Additionally, he has coached numerous travel and recreational baseball teams in Arlington and Falls Church for more than 15 years. Most recently, he’s been working to develop ballplayers for ATB at the 13U and 14U levels, and coaches teams in Hawaii during the winter months.

Shane Halley is the pitching coach at Marymount University. Coach Halley brings professional pitching experience to the Saints, along with six years of college and travel coaching experience. Halley played baseball at the University of Virginia, as a pitcher and outfielder, from 2008-12. He was a part of two ACC Championship teams and made two College World Series appearances. In 2012, he was selected in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals, where he spent three years as a pitcher. In 2015, he moved to the Colorado Rockies, spending 2015-16 with the organization. Following his playing career, Halley spent two years in Nanjing, China, as a pitching coach. He helped develop the first Chinese pitchers that signed professional contracts with an MLB organization. Halley also spent time as a Pitching Coach with the Alexandria Aces in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
Note: We expect that these two teams will practice with each other regularly so that players at the 13u level get the benefit of working with both coaches. Additionally, these teams will have an alternating tournament schedule to allow for and encourage guesting within the program during the fall season.
District Team
Chad Singleton & Jordan Dickson - Chad Singleton starts at catcher for Marymount University, where he is finishing up his senior year. Chad was a dual-sport athlete at Pompano Beach High School, where he competed in both baseball and football. He led his team to a District and Regional championship during his career and received the baseball team's Gold Glove award. Jordan Dickson is a fifth year senior at Marymount University, where he pitches, hits, and plays the field. Originally from Mosely, Virginia, Jordan played baseball and volleyball in high school.

Cole Wykoff & Bill Wykoff – This father & son duo are an Arlington baseball institution. Bill was inducted into the Washington-Liberty Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. Over his storied career, Bill was a scout for a major league organization, a long-time assistant at W-L, played at University of Maryland, and was a first-team All-Met catcher at W-L. Cole Wykoff is a current varsity assistant at Washington-Liberty High School. In his playing days, he was the starting catcher at Yorktown High School and played his college ball for the Montgomery College baseball team, where he started both years he was there. In his free time, Cole is a professional fisherman.

Nathan Saber & Jimmy Baker – Nathan Saber is a right-handed pitcher at Marymount University, where he is finishing up his senior year. In high school, Nathan played for Potomac Senior High school where he guided the school to a pair of District Championships and one Regional Championship. Jimmy Baker is an infielder at Marymount University, where he is finishing up his senior year. He grew up in Fredericksburg and played for Stafford High School.

Regional Team
Pat Baker, Jr. has 9 seasons of professional pitching experience as well as 9 years of coaching and training baseball players at the youth, high school, college, and professional levels. Patrick was drafted by the Orioles in the 2014 MLB Draft and was named an Orioles Top 30 Prospect in 2014 and 2015. Through 206 career innings pitched, Patrick compiled a career 3.79 ERA. Patrick is also a Precision Nutrition certified coach and has extensive knowledge of strength and movement training which he applies to his coaching. Patrick is currently an Assistant Coach at Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington.

Pat Baker, Sr. is currently the Pitching Coach at Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington. Coach Baker played at the University of Maryland and was First-Team All-Met College as a pitcher. Pat has over 20 years of coaching high school, youth league, travel, and collegiate summer league teams, as well as extensive experience providing private and small group instruction. Pat has helped numerous players achieve their goals of competing at both the collegiate and professional levels.
